Coilovers are great - Instructions, not so much

It's been a while since I received and installed my Neomax coilovers - life has a way of getting in the way of ... everything.

Anyway, I finally got 'em installed, and they fit like a glove. However, the entire installation process was trial and error because there were literally no instructions included with my coilovers. I realize that providing vehicle specific intstructions with every set of coilovers you sell is not realistic, but some basics would've helped. Like how to preload the springs, the alignment of the top mount on the fronts, or how to adjust the ride height once installed. At the very least, links to videos on the internet on how to do this stuff. Some basic references for setting the rebound/dampening would be helpful too.

After some searching, I was able to find a video you created on setting the spring preload. But I have yet to find anything on the rebound/dampening. A basic guide that gives starting points for daily driving vs. track days, or how to find a balance between front and rear would be nice.

Since my car is a daily driver, and I left about a 1 inch gap between the tire and fender arch to avoid rubbing. I started at 12 clicks, midway rebound/dampening, and have been adjusting down 1 to 2 clicks at a time until I find the front and rear balance of not too hard and not too soft. Currently I'm at 8 clicks (4 down from 12) on the front and 6 clicks on the rear. One or two more adjustments and I think I'll have it.

Ride height adjustment tips came from videos posted by people other than your company. Fortunately, adjusting ride height is pretty straight forward and I didn't have any real issues with that. Since I have a 2013 Forester and stock ride height is pretty high to begin with, I was able to drop it 2 1/2 inches and still have a small gap at the fender. Which is where I like it.

Bottom line, after some trial and error, coilovers work as advertised. A few tweaks here and there, and they'll be great. Just would have liked some basic instructions and tips to reduce the amount of trial and error.
